HP Pavilion dv4-4030us is a laptop with a 2.1Ghz Intel Pentium B950 processor, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory, and 500GB SATA 5400rpm hard drive. The laptop highlights a 14.0″ diagonal High-Definition HP BrightView LED Display at 1366 x 768 resolution, and Intel HD Graphics with up to 1696MB total graphics memory. It also comes with HP TrueVision HD webcam, SuperMulti DVD Burner, 2-in-1 memory card reader, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, and 6-Cell 55WHr Lithium-Ion Battery for up to 6 hours of life. This laptop is powered by the Intel Core i5-460M CPU. This is a dual-core, 64-bit processor with 4 processing threads. The cores operating at 2.53GHz normally, but can be boosted up to 2.8GHz with TurboBoost technology. It has 3MB of L3 cache and uses 35W. The laptop comes with 4GB of 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM and can be expanded to a maximum of 8GB. That’s plenty of memory for all of your multitasking needs. It uses the Mobile Intel HM55 Express Chipset.

The screen is a 14.0” diagonal High-Definition HP BrightView LED display with a resolution of 1366 x 768. The screen is driven by Intel HD graphics which features 64-1696MB dynamically allocated shared video memory. This is not the laptop to play games on.



For storage you get a 500GB Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive rotating at 7200RPM. A nice drive to have on a laptop. The optical drive is a SuperMulti 8X DVD±R/RW with Double Layer Support. For wireless you can use the integrated 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN adapter when you want to walk around with your laptop in your hands. You can use those network connections with the TrueVision webcam with digital microphone for easy access to video chatting and video mail. This laptop also supports Bluetooth with WiDi.

Other features include Dolby Advanced Audio with Altec Lansing Speakers and HP SimplePass Identity Protection with integrated fingerprint reader. External ports include 3 USB 2.0 ports (3rd port shared with eSATA), 1 HDMI port, 1 VGA, 1 headphone out and 1 microphone in.
