The Toshiba Satellite L745-S4210 ($639.99 list, 3.5 stars) and Dell Inspiron 14R-N4110 also have bulky plastic frames. While bulky, the VPC-EG16FM weighs 4.9 pounds, which is similar to the Samsung QX410-W01 (5.1 pounds) and Asus U46E-BAL5 (4.9 pounds).
